The Buying teams manage the relationships with a dynamic supply base and work closely with various colleagues across different functions, both in the UK and globally, to design, source, negotiate, set up and launch exciting new product ranges.

As a supermarket operating on a large scale, we serve the needs of a diverse consumer market. To do this efficiently we use a wealth of tools and systems to keep up to date with new trends and customer shopping habits, allowing us to respond quickly to changes in the market. It is our job to identify any product growth opportunities and ensure our product range is optimised, always keeping the customer at the heart of what we do.

Being a Buyer at Tesco is incredibly fast paced yet rewarding. We work with a dynamic team of colleagues with varied expertise, so there’s always lots to learn! It’s great being able to work on ranges from conception, and see the fruits of your labour physically in store and through sales.

Working in Welwyn Garden City

Our campus sits just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden city with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and sports facilities. Close to the A1 and with frequent trains running to Kings Cross in as little as 26 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office) the campus is well connected to the surrounding area.
