At Tesco, we believe in the power of spending more time together, face to face, than apart. So, during your working week, you can expect to spend 60% of your time in one of our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely. We also recognise that life looks a little different for each of us. Some people are at the start of their careers, some want the freedom to do the things they love. Others are going through life-changing moments like becoming a carer, nearing retirement, adapting to parenthood, or something else. That’s why at Tesco, we always welcome a conversation about flexible working. So, talk to us throughout your application about how we can support.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join our Computer Vision Product Team within Store Operations Technology. Our vision is to transform the way we use visual data by surfacing computer vision capabilities across Tesco, enabling value-led decisions.
This role will focus on Scan Assist – how we use computer vision capabilities to reduce loss at till and improve customer experience. The role will consider current and future computer vision capabilities required to deliver core outcomes; how we test, validate and iterate the deployment of these capabilities.
The successful candidate will be an eager problem solver who is not afraid to challenge the status quo. The role will work closely with the Business Support teams, Data Science & Data Science Engineering, Data Analytics, other Technology Product Teams and our store colleagues to ensure all new tech meet our strategic goals.
Time will also be spent in store understanding the needs of our colleagues and customers and getting feedback on our product development initiatives.
Nice to have: Experience working with Data Science Engineering
