What I do:
Manage vacancies using effective attraction and selection methods, advising Recruiting Managers appropriately on the most effective methodologies to utilise. This includes posting of vacancies on internal and external job boards, using social media to broaden our routes to market, understanding the needs for the role and hiring manager and screening/shortlisting candidates for roles to support a better recruitment experience for hiring manager & candidates.
Build positive relationships with all colleagues in the People Team, Leadership Team, stakeholders in the business and external partners, sharing priorities, comms and support.
Maintaining our internal systems and updating elements to reflect internal changes. Always looking to make our processes and tools better and simpler, striving to always achieve ‘Brilliant basics’, live 20/80 and ensuring SLAs are met or exceeded
Ensure all interactions offer candidates/external stakeholders the very best experience, making sure we (including coaching our stakeholders) always protect our employer brand, offering ideas to improve the experience candidates receive.
Maintain agency contracts utilising internal and external stakeholders for support to ensure we are fully compliant when using agency and have a great relationship with our agency suppliers. Including keeping the preferred supplier list (PSL) up to date for the needs of our business to ensure we always have an appropriate agency available.
Own and champion the quality blueprints within the role and consistently look for areas of development. Use innovation, data, insight and a strong external network to ensure we are competitive within market understand what’s working in other businesses /sectors, and bring ideas and fresh thinking to your role.
Manage relationships with our apprenticeship training providers to ensure all programmes meet the required standard & quality controls and make sure our apprentices are receiving the best possible service and delivery of their programme
Manage apprenticeship contracts to ensure that we meet all the requirements stipulated and have the required quality controls in place including management of apprenticeship levy & Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS)
Collate information and attend people governance with the leadership team to enroll any new providers/courses & people priorities in the absence of the Talent & Careers Partner
Support our talent and careers plan across all business areas supporting local communities and shaping careers of new and existing colleagues including supporting to build a long-term talent acquisition and retention plans which support our ambitions on workforce planning
Support developing our talent pipelines for all business areas, including providing visibility of talent pools, supply & demand, centrally managed development programmes & interventions
Monitor and review the people and business impacts of our talent plan, Including sentiment from current, new colleagues and local communities ensuring the colleague lifecycle is a positive experience and coach others to make improvements where necessary
Support our Diversity & Inclusion plan across all areas of the business including engaging with the group, external stakeholders & initiatives, engaging with the networks & facilitating One Voice meetings
Lead and develop new and existing early careers programmes which support colleague growth and enable us to realise our business objectives
I support and engage key stakeholders on our Scholarship programme owning the blueprint and giving the candidates a great experience throughout
I manage & conduct work activities in such a way as to ensure the safety, health & welfare at work of all colleagues & customers
Skills I need:
