Additional Information

Salary:

Standard employment contract (UoP) 27 000 - 37 000 PLN gross/month

Job Description

This job requires to be based in/close to Kraków. We currently work in a hybrid model and meet in our office 3 days a week.

Product Managers at Tesco Technology are passionate about solving problems. They take accountability for complex products, and are empowered to drive the product strategy, roadmap and outcomes. Driven by curiosity and innovation, coupled with a strong partnership with Business, Engineering, User Research and Data Science teams, our product managers create value for our Customers and Colleagues in all our markets.

Tesco’s operations are powered by one of the largest distribution and fulfilment networks in the world. Store Fulfilment is the backbone of the business and at the forefront of serving our Customers. Our fulfilment network ensures our Customers get their shopping, when, where and how they want it.

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to be part of this journey, sharing our ambition to deliver a new Group Distribution Platform for Tesco to support our Group Operating Model. Our mission is to develop the Group Distribution Platform for our colleagues across all markets. We aim to create a robust, user-friendly, and high-performing system that integrates seamlessly with our services and vendors. We will simplify processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver significant savings by utilising algorithms, applying machine learning and automation. The Lead Product Manager will set strategy and direction, working alongside expert Senior Product Managers and line-managing Product Managers. ​If that sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you.

You will be responsible for:

  • setting clear product goals and strategy for the Group Distribution Platform
  • accountability for delivery, involving multiple internal/external stakeholders
  • developing the roadmap and driving execution by working with and leading a team of talented PMs
  • understanding business stakeholders and their pain points
  • handling conflicting priorities, and communicating clearly to retain a high level of focus and excellence
  • identifying and removing impediments faced by the team by working with my Head of Product/ other stakeholders and proactively flagging off any risks/ delays in the commitments
  • understanding how to utilise data science and machine learning to deliver outcomes at scale
  • providing leadership and direction to nurture successful collaboration across team(s)
  • contributing to capability and capacity planning for my Product area to prioritise and sequence initiatives
  • conducting fair performance appraisals and providing constructive feedback for my team members to support their development
  • collaborating with Head of Product to understand future demand and direction of my product
  • being responsible for achieving or exceeding agreed product OKRs owned/ managed by the team

Qualifications

You will need – Key Requirements:

  • Product Management experience in a B2B and/or Fulfilment environment
  • Experience in building Front-End products (e.g. Colleague & Management Apps) and Back-End products (e.g. APIs, business logic or algorithms).
  • Experience defining workflow management tools to create operational efficiency in enterprise-scale systems
  • Proven track record of owning Problem Statements/Opportunities and achieving committed Outcomes
  • Proven ability to solve business problems through discovery and hypothesis-driven approach
  • Proven ability to absorb and draw conclusions from multiple inputs and data points to refine and define the User Needs
  • Experience in/and understanding of User Experience (UX) Research-driven product development
  • Worked collaboratively with data scientists to build integrated data products that add significant value
  • Ability to work independently and drive the product’s lifecycle

  • Preferred Function: Technology (Distribution & Fulfilment, 3rd Party Logistics for Online, E-commerce business)
  • Experience in working in international businesses
