About the role

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager on a part time basis (22.5 hours) where you'll be responsible for reporting financial performance in your Distribution Centre and sharing insight with your teams to drive an improvement in the operation.
 
This is a great opportunity where you’ll not only be part of the Tesco Finance team but work very closely with our Distribution centres by business partnering with them. This is a varied role where you’ll be expected to work across many teams and we provide excellent training courses to best support you on this. You’ll be working with external stakeholders as well as supporting new innovative ideas, through to people management, which means there is a never a dull moment. 

You will be responsible for

  • Managing the Finance Administrators in the Distribution Centre(s).
  • Reviewing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Profit and Loss with the Distribution Centre Manager(s).
  • Validating and submit the Conference Call Model information ensuring Lead team are informed of results and financial impacts.
  • Preparing root cause & variance analysis with a commentary report for Warehouse and Transport weekly reporting.
  • Attending the Lead Team Meeting, giving updates on financial progress and providing insight for opportunities to improve performance.
  • Reviewing finance forecast call with the Regional Finance Manager.
  • Supporting the Lead Team with the management of their departmental budgets and provide regular financial forecasts to the Distribution Centre Manager(s).
  • Managing my time to go where I am needed and use this time to coach the financial management skills of the Lead Team and Distribution Centre Managers.
  • Reviewing overlays and SFG projects, working with the on-site and external project teams ensuring the overlay trackers, budgets and KPIs are reconciled.
  • Preparing for, and attending review meetings with Distribution Directors.

You will need

  • Finance experience in driving strategic priorities in large complex organisations
  • Experience of engaging and working with senior business stakeholders
  • Highly evolved financial analysis skills
  • Be able to shape Strategy for the distribution centres
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Change Management 
  • Have experience of Analysis & Insight
