Seeking a highly skilled DB Pension Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technical operational aspects of pension schemes,  regulations, and industry best practices.

This role involves providing expert advice, managing complex pension calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and future changes.

You will be responsible for


 

Pensions Scheme Management:

  •  Manage pension scheme documentation, including trust deeds, rules, and policies and processes.
  • Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliance with pension regulations.

Pension Calculations and Advice:

  • Calculate pension entitlements, lump sums, and tax implications.  
  • Provide expert advice to employees on pension options and choices.
  • Assist with pension transfers and consolidations.
  • Deal with complex member queries and any issues that may arise
  • Act as a referral point for more complex technical matters

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyse pension data to identify trends and potential issues.   
  • Prepare accurate and timely pension reports for management and regulatory bodies.   
  • Ensure data integrity and security throughout the operations team.
  • Assist with system configuration and automated calculation updates

You will need


 

Technical Expertise:  

  • DB experience
  •  Strong and thorough knowledge of the UK pensions legislation framework
  • Strong understanding of pension scheme administration and operations.
  • Ability to business impact assess technical changes to the pension scheme operation

Analytical Skills:   

  • Ability to analyse complex pension data and draw meaningful conclusions.   
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Communication Skills:

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex pension concepts clearly.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
