This role supports the Press Office team with building trust in the business and mitigating reputational risk by ensuring the smooth management of key resources and administrative duties.

You will be responsible for

  • Creating and updating key Press Office resources including contact lists, Press Office guide and Q&As
  • Creating ad hoc media monitoring and summaries during live issues and partnering with external media monitoring agency to ensure delivery of effective monitoring and analysis.
  • Continual review and optimisation of PR Gloo platform (database of media enquiries and prepared responses)
  • Reviewing filming requests and managing shoots where needed
  • Supporting Press Office team with responding to media enquiries, where appropriate
  • Systems administration - ensuring the smooth running and effective us of Teams calling and the Press Office inbox
  • Budget administration - setting up suppliers, creating POs and managing Subscriptions
  • Creating and updating rotas for the team.
  • Drafting weekly summary of Press Office activity and other ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Supporting the press office outside of normal working hours as part of on-call rota

You will need

  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation
  • Good command of Excel and Powerpoint preferable
  • Strong written communication skills
