About the role

  • Deliver complex programmes
  • Workplace Technology Portfolio Delivery
  • Establish new or improve existing delivery methodology to deliver the programme goals
  • Delivery of Work Practices within Workplace Technology Team; Vital contribution / definition / formalization of the Infra Delivery Team Workplace Practices
  • Mange the resources working with recruitment agencies, approve the submitted timesheets, manage the contract extensions for TPMs within workplace technology department
  • Create and track a plan to deliver the programme goals, including the technical implementation plan
  • Workplace Technology Roadmap and Release Planning; regular portfolio updates for senior management
  • Regular interface points with external programmes to Workplace Technology, to ensure alignment of delivery, costs and resources
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on programme delivery (mentoring other TPMs and supporting Engineering/Product teams)
  • Regular team meetings and one to ones with TPMs (Product Managers are taking part in these meetings too)
  • Working on resource management process to ensure the team has got skills and resource capacity to deliver the programme
  • Working on workplace practices and their adoption across the product, programme, engineering and service areas
  • Use experience and influencing skills to drive consensus with the Engineering and Product teams to obtain the best value and solution
  • Governance meetings for complex programmes (Microsoft 365, Identity, Endpoint Solutions and Services,  Voice and Video) involving engineering and product leads
  • Foresee potential risks and issues, establish a process, facilitate discussion and manage escalations
  • Regular team meetings, one to ones and governance meetings to manage any risks / escalations
  • Ensure risk escalation is conducted to the appropriate levels
  • Act on opportunities to adopt trends and new concepts in programme and product delivery
  • Working with product and engineering leads on establishing the ways of working and working practices within Workplace Technology Department
  • Foresee the impact on dependencies, delivery timelines and implementation plans
  • Regular team meetings, one to ones and governance meetings to manage / understand any dependencies impacting the delivery timelines
  • Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to define annual budgetary requirements
  • Define and agree appropriate processes for defining annual budgets dependant on internal and external factors
  • Budget management including annual forecasting and then portfolio finance management throughout the financial year
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers & external stakeholders to deliver workplace technologies or professional services
  • Vendor management controls and working with the procurement team to best serve the needs of Workplace in a timely manner
  • Construct short and long term plans with vendors about their products to support the Workplace Strategy
  • Coach peers and other roles, teaching where required, on methodologies and programme management tools and coach/mentor on leadership
  • Regular one to ones with TPMs, objectives and personal development plans review with the team
  • Take a leading role in the recruitment process and make final recruitment decisions
  • Interviewed and fed back the results / recommendations as a WL3 to the wider TPM community
  • Working on roles and responsibilities for TPMs within Workplace Technology Department to unify the requirements and expectations from all TPMs within the team
