About Tesco Labs
Tesco Labs is at the heart of innovation enabled by emerging technologies. Joining us means playing a part in defining, building and launching an ambitious roadmap that could affect the lives of millions of colleagues and customers globally.
We need people who share our ambition. Passionate and willing to take the initiative to drive us forwards. In return we offer excitement, a great team, an excellent benefit package and significant career development opportunities.
Product managers at Tesco are passionate about solving problems. They take accountability for complex and strategic products, and are empowered to drive the product strategy, the roadmap, and the outcomes. Driven by curiosity and innovation, coupled with strong partnership with Business, Engineering, User Research and Data Science teams, our product managers create value for our Customers, Colleagues and Businesses across all markets.
About The Role
At Tesco Labs, we use our passion for innovation, to create new and disruptive retail focussed experiences and products, for Tesco customers and colleagues globally. Our products are typically ‘new to world’ or ‘new to retail’ and we work across the Innovation Horizons, from nearer term opportunities to testing hypothesis in experimental, breakthrough innovation. We do this with a proud track record.
It really is a role at the cutting edge and no two days are the same. We’re looking for someone with an innovator’s mindset and product management rigour. You’ll need to be comfortable with complexity and ambiguity while moving products forward, often with tight deadlines. A role in the Lab means ‘no blueprints’ ways of working – we’re inventing the new. We’re looking for a real self-starter to discover, define, develop and deliver world class, new to world products.
If that sounds exciting, then we'd love to hear from you!
In this role, you will be driven to deliver innovative products and inspire others to do the same. You’ll be a natural problem solver, who is outcome-oriented, innately curious and an excellent collaborator with strong communication. You will need to balance creativity with being data driven, demonstrating experience of applying robust methodology throughout product discovery and delivery.
Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:
We offer excellent benefits that help make Tesco a great place to work! These include but are not limited to:

It means acting as a responsible and sustainable business for all stakeholders, for the communities we are part of and for the planet.
We are proud to have an inclusive culture at Tesco where everyone truly feels able to be themselves. At Tesco, we not only celebrate diversity, but recognise the value and opportunity it brings. We're committed to creating a workplace where differences are valued, and make sure that all colleagues are given the same opportunities. We’re proud to have been accredited Disability Confident Leader and we’re committed to providing a fully inclusive and accessible recruitment process. We’re a big business and we can offer a range of diverse full-time & part-time working patterns across our many business areas, which means that we can find something that works for you. We work in a more blended pattern - combining office and remote working. Our offices will continue to be where we connect, collaborate and innovate. Please talk to us to about how this can work for you - Everyone is welcome at Tesco.
