About the role

Reporting to the Head of Procurement Strategy & Delivery, you will play a meaningful role in tracking and project managing the delivery of Tesco’s GSNFR Save to Invest targets. In addition, this role will work on co-developing and tracking the implementation of a range of strategic and transformational projects across GSNFR including supporting the continued improvement and implementation of ways of working, governance and communications across the whole Group Procurement Community.

This role offers an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding about how the Tesco Procurement Transformation will be delivered and deepen analytics skills and project management expertise. You will also gain greater understanding of how Tesco Procurement strategy supports the development of the Group Wide Procurement Target Operating Model. It is a critical support role to ensure delivery of committed GSNFR Procurement targets and broader procurement transformation

You will be responsible for

  • Tracking and recording progress in the delivery of GSNFR’s Save to Invest cost reduction program – supporting the regular reporting processes
  • Undertaking analysis related to pipeline management as required and working closely with all category, regional and subsidiary teams to develop the pipeline, as well as understand how they are progressing against targets and continuing to iterate pipelines
  • Delivering on the strategic priorities of the Procurement function across a range of activities
  • Ensure the teams are following processes, governance and methodologies put into place and challenging those that aren’t.
  • Helping in the creation of communications and supporting in their syndication
  • Support and development of the wider Target Operating Model
  • Support the onboarding of new team members on PMO Ways of Working if needed
  • Work closely with our TBS team to support implementation of system changes as required

You will need

  • Ability to influence and engage senior colleagues across the business
  • Experience of working within a large-scale Transformation programme
  • Excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, alongside proven team working approach
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
