Marketing is a fast-paced, exciting and creative place to work. We help to ‘serve Britain's shoppers a little better every day' by truly understanding our customers, so we can make positive differences to their lives. We create iconic brands and bring them to life. We help to have the right conversations, in the right place and at the right time and lead all of the campaigns across the year – from Valentine's Day through to Christmas.

We sit at the very heart of the business, part of the wider Customer team leading many of Tesco's biggest projects. These include many recent launches that you might have seen in your local store.

We work with some of the biggest and most exciting agencies in the UK to create inspiring and innovative marketing campaigns for customers, including the adverts you see on TV and in the press.

We're currently spread across two sites, but will sit together in a vibrant and refurbished Welwyn Garden City campus by February 2016.

There are three key areas within Marketing:

Customer Strategy and Insight Team

The team are responsible for understanding our customers better than anyone. They develop strategic customer plans and turn all of this data into insight that can make a real difference to customers.

Tesco Brand Team

The team are responsible for developing unique Tesco Brands that customers and colleagues love. They develop the proposition and brand strategy defining the experience and relationships that consumers have with those brands.


The team design and operate the Tesco Clubcard loyalty programme. We develop the proposition for the scheme, define and communicate a personalised experience for our customers, that drives long term engagement and brand affinity.

You could be working with agencies - developing adverts and seasonal campaigns, using customer feedback and insight to develop and refine our customer offer, creating innovative and marketing-leading digital campaigns or developing Tesco’s Brands by finding new ways to bring them to life for customers.
