The Digital Product team is responsible for developing, coordinating and aligning the digital platforms, products and strategies that enable a seamless customer journey across web, mobile and our physical store network. We create world-class products and services that our customers love to use. We’re expanding and looking for exceptional people who want to work in a creative, fun and fast-paced environment.

We are looking for product managers, user experience experts, data specialists, outstanding leaders and managers with software and mobile experience. Above all, people who are passionate about building digital products and serving Britain’s shoppers a little better every day.

We are based in the Digital Centre of Excellence - an impressive, brand new office space in Farringdon, London.

There are four key areas within Digital Product:

  • The Marketing Services and Platforms team - responsible for managing the development of all primary marketing applications and systems. These are used by Tesco colleagues to run our marketing business including marketing automation and campaign management.
  • The Customer and Colleague Product Excellence team - responsible for ensuring the on-time, high-quality delivery of our software applications and platforms. Coordinating across functional teams regarding product definition, project schedule, feature scope, commitments, and project-related decisions. The team are also accountable for defining and documenting best practices and templates to make the product delivery process as effective, predictable, transparent, consistent and lean as possible.
  • The Loyalty and Customer Engagement team - responsible for developing and delivering the product roadmap across non-trading websites including Clubcard, + Boost and the homepage. As part of this roadmap, the team is responsible for creating a more unified experience for customers across all channels and devices.
  • The Customer Data & Analytics team - responsible for defining, prioritising and delivering the strategy, systems and tools for enabling real-time, data-driven, programmatic decision making and customer data insight across all of our businesses. We define and deliver a Best In Class platform and set of tools that unifies data-capture across channels to allow real-time analysis to serve customers better. We deliver the product strategy and roadmap for implementing a robust CRM platform serving business needs across multiple functional areas.

You could be designing or delivering the next generation of marketing services and tools or you could be responsible for building a predictive analytics platform for our digital product portfolio.

Typical responsibilities could include:-

  • Working with stakeholders throughout the organisation to translate business objectives into product requirements
  • Managing the product roadmap and backlog prioritization process that drives meaningful innovation and revenue growth.
  • Providing leadership in the creation of a consistent, comprehensive product process
  • Extending Tesco’s data driven approach into the digital space
  • Conducting and utilising market research, competitive analysis and best-in-class benchmarking to help define new products, functions and features
  • Establishing and driving the execution of cross-platform product strategies that improve current products and enable a pipeline of new products
  • Defining world-class user experiences and customer workflows that spans multiple products, device types and geographical regions
  • Creating a more harmonised customer experience across multiple touch-points enabling us to serve Britain’s shoppers a little better every day.

Strong technology foundation (web & mobile applications, e-commerce platforms, data analytics platforms & best-in-class front-end and back-end web solutions). You enjoy researching new applications and customer trends. You are as interested in technical trends as you are entrenched in the latest web- and mobile business models.

You put the customer at the forefront of everything that you do and you love using data to serve shoppers better.
